Useful Things I Have in My Gym Bag

Staying safe when going for maxes or lifting heavy weights is essential for me. I make sure I have a lifting belt to help with abdominal bracing which is always in my bag. I got mine from amazon, at the time I went for a cheaper one, but based on how much I use it and how beneficial they are, if I could go back I would get a higher quality one.
Having a resistance band in my bag has meant that I can always warm up. mobilise well, or add some extra difficulty to the exercises I am doing, and so I really cannot recommend enough how important this item is.
Because I have been training a bit longer, I also keep some wrist straps in my bag. I use these for heavier or for high rep back workouts. Since I typically train multiple times a week, I don't think it hurts to use these for a few sets here and there. It is important to make sure that you don't rely on these too much and develop a weak grip.
Having some protein, EAA, or pre workout in my bag has helped me out multiple times. These are a great way to fuel your workout, make sure you stay consistent with supplementation, and avoid paying too much for these from the gym vending machines.
I always keep a belt for weighted dips, pullups and other exercises. It tends to work a lot better than using a resistance band or hanging a dumbbell between my feet or legs. Here's a link to the company I bought mine from for about £23.
